Ornament Tag #2

Hello Friends

It’s Glen here with another fantastic piece I made with the Best Glue Ever!  I’ve been continuing my project of decorating my indoor tree for summer, and for me that means birds and more birds. While I celebrate the fact that we have Carolina Wrens, Catbirds, Robins, Cardinals, Chickadees, Grackles and some as yet unidentified visitors on the outside, I also reflect that enthusiasm on the inside.

I used the Best Glue Ever to adhere my French Country paper to thick card stock. I cut out a bird from Uncle Tim’s new Wallflower paper pad and K & Co ‘s Susan Winget card stock to make my project. I used the  Perfect Crafting Pouch to help the sticky edges disappear and inked all the edges of each piece.

I hope you will be inspired to try your own projects using the great products offered by ScraPerfect.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Hello All
It’s Glen here with a nice idea that’s a little strange, so let me explain. When my father was in the hospital in December I was so tired from working and running back and forth to the hospital that I just didn’t have the wherewithal to put up our big 8 ft tree. So I went to Big Lots and found a small – not too broad tree about five feet tall. It was a display model and was on sale half off plus I had a coupon. It cost me $36 but the catch is there’s no box. I decorated the tree with ceramic angel ornaments and birds that he got from The Bradford Exchange and added two that I intended to give dad for Xmas. When the holidays were over I left the tree where it was.  Dad died on Jan 28th and the tree is still up. I have no place to put it and no box to put it in, so since we used to have an indoor Norfolk pine there it made sense, to me at least. Then I got the idea of decorating the tree for the Spring,Summer, July 4th and so on.

I used the Best Glue Ever to put my background paper on card stock and then used my Vagabond to cut out the shape. I also used it make glue dots to adhere all the pieces on the background to give it depth which you can’t really see in the pictures. I have lots of ideas for this as an ongoing project and will enjoy posting more photos of the tree when I have more done.

Binder Lettering

Hello All

It’s Glen here with a project that I’ve been trying to get to for a long time. I have several of Tim Holtz’s
Stamp Binders and I always get them mixed up but now I’ve started the solution to this problem. I’ve taken some of the grunge lettering and using the Best Glue Ever, I adhered some tissue paper to each letter and let them dry.

I added some Distress paint and allowed to dry before using the Best Glue Ever to place them on the spine of my binder. I had to jumble the letters a bit to fit the spine but I am pleased with the results.

So here is the finished project that looks good and helps me work faster at a glance. Thanks for stopping in today and don’t forget to visit the ScraPerfect website for great products to make scrapping BETTER!

Recollections Photo Box-Part 2

Hi Folks
It’s Glen here for you now with the second installment of my project!

A small amount of glue.

I start decorating the edges of the lid with papers, I chose a theme of old time photography and film-making as a theme for this box but I have ambition to make a Steampunk and a Secret Garden box someday too.

Front of lid time to drill!

I am using the Best Glue Ever with the No-Clog Writing Tip to apply the glue easily and sparingly as well as precisely where I want it!

Won these online woohoo!

I decide to use only one draw pull on the front and save the other, but I also have to pry off the label holder and replace it after I apply paper. I use the Best Glue Ever to replace the holder after re-punching the lineup holes in the paper.

Corner guards.
The back lid and a side.

I use the always great  Embellie Gellie to pick up brads and place them in the holes of the corner guards.

So you can see it’s coming along nicely and next time maybe I’ll be able to show the final reveal. That is if I don’t go too far with my embellishment! But it wouldn’t be so easy without the wonderful products available at ScraPerfect. Go there and see all that’s available. Well with more snow and ice tonight and a very big storm this Sunday predicted, I’ll have plenty of time to create. Thanks for reading and don’t forget to check the other projects on this blog.
See you soon
Glen
